Year 6 Twitter Feed

Year 6 now have a Twitter Feed which you can access @Year6Thames to see our latest happenings and to keep up to date with events.

Easter RE

Our morning began with an assembly about people who sacrifice themselves for others, through the story of 'The Spade'.

We then shared workshops about good and bad human nature and how we can be forgiven. 

BSYW delivered messages really clearly and through some great interactive tasks.

VE Day part 2!

Preparations were underway all morning, with lots of baking, making, cutting and sticking. Our party this afternoon, with our bunting and paper decorations in place, was a great celebration of all the learning we have done. It was a real pleasure to have so many parents in school to support us and to share all the lovely wartime foods. 

The children have been completely absorbed in our topic and have learned so much, as well as producing some amazing pieces of writing. Well done everyone!

Year 6 VE Day!

We have such a lot of WWII visitors in school today. 

Land girls and 'Rosie' the riveters...

Lots of evacuees....

We're off to prepare for our VE Day party shortly. Parents are invited to join us from 2:15 p.m.
