Table plan challenge!

Year 6 children were set a challenge today.

Here are some of the proposed plans the children came up with!

Each post it represents a table and each cube or square represents a seat.

One group made an artist's impression including the happy couple!

6WG's return visit to Wyre Country Park.

6WG went back to the country park today so that we could compare the same three settings at a different time of year.

It was lovely to be out in the warm sunshine. Our temperature and light meter readings were much higher this time and the wind speeds were much slower. In the woodland there was no wind at all.
We heard lots of different birds and there was much more evidence of plant and minibeast life.

Year 6 treat day at Blackpool Tower.

Year 6 set off straight after assembly and walked along the promenade to the Tower. It was absolutely beautiful, with bright warm sunshine and a very happy group in high spirits.
Once there, half the group went to the 4D experience and up the Tower, whilst the other half visited the dungeon.

Before visiting the other attraction, all groups met for lunch on the balcony.

Then, another walk back along the promenade, still in glorious sunshine. What a fantastic treat for the end of SATs week.

Revising long multiplication and long division.

Mrs Greaves' maths set worked around a multiplication and division trail today, to practise their calculation skills.

Each answer, once calculated, offered another problem to solve. The only problem was, if your calculation was wrong, you couldn't find the answer to move on, so everyone needed to be very careful not to make mistakes.
